More “Anti-social distancing in Monmouth” #2

It came as a surprise but within a week some 1200 people had watched my video ” Anti-Social Distancing in Monmouth (or Pachalbel’s Corona)” and I’d had a fair amount of feedback wanting more. Well, it must have hit the spot to some extent so I made another. This time I put aside the bagpipes and used a variety of other wind instruments accompanied by hats and coats in various configurations and limited myself to 650m of where I live. The piece I chose was a Cuban slow march called “Cedron” but I can’t identify the composer at all; any clues would be appreciated. In the meantime I give you “Anti-Social Distancing in Monmouth #2 – Cedron-19”

The still at the beginning of the video incidentally was taken when we were filming The Mire Archive by Eclectic Films

Filming is a great joy, just walking around town and finding all those photogenic locations; so its next to impossible in Monmouth to stand anywhere without some little place of visual interest. Just in this small film alone we have the birthplace of Henry V, the court for the trial marking the end of the Chartist rebellion, three locations featured in the Dr Who episode “The Unquiet Dead“, the only surviving medieval fortified bridge in Britain, the first custom built cinema in Wales, a fairy tree and John Rennie’s gravestone from 1832 just to confuse the devil.
